I have a 1997 which is currently awaiting her new owner to come pick up. one problem tho, the cat needs to be replaced but i'm not going to since i'm getting rid of it. i have reset the code for the engine light but it keeps coming back on. any way to "trick" it from coming back on?

not without a custom PCM burn...

you could replace the cat with an aftermarket ebay one for $40-50 and have it installed for $30? and it would be good as new
