If you've been following what some of us have been saying, it'* a mod that works better for some than for others. If your are experiencing better performance and have no idle issues, there'* no reason why you can't leave it off. As long as you have a good air filter and no breaks in your intake system, there'* no need to use it as a "grasshopper shield" (lol... ).

So, if I am reading correctly, you have determined that you don't have a fueling problem and were only experiencing traction control issues due to a heavy right foot, correct?

And motorhead, your basic comments on the function of the MAF screen are correct and may actually apply to Black94'* case since he has a stock airbox and the corrugated intake tube, but should not be applied as if everything is black or white. Many people with smooth-walled intake pipes and high volume air needs have noticed benefits from MAF screen removal as their air flow is more laminar. It all depends upon the application as in any modification to stock design.
You are correct. I narrowed my problem down to the Traction control. When it is in the off position, i dont experience the problem I mentioned before. When I put it back on, I have the issue again. Well not really an issue, just my traction control working the way it should be.

Another thing too is, I replaced my shock tranny mount as well as the dog bone tranny mount and I have to tell you that I feel like the front end is allot tighter as far as launches and overall feel. I think thats why I never experienced the traction control working properly, since I had lots of play on the tranny with the bad mounts.
