Default Bonnie'* giving me a headache!

What should I put first on the list.
I understand that a car with over 167,000 miles is bound to have mechanical issues - but a million things ALL at once? Gimme a break!
The SES light came on yesterday
It'* idling like poo
There'* a clunking in the front suspension somewhere
I'm getting like no boost - when I punch it - the guage goes just above '0'.
There'* a delay in the kickdown when I step on it.
And the lamp monitor is possessed! It keeps telling me that I have a tail lamp out - which I don't - and it continously flashes and dings. I mean - I had to listen to the ding ding ding the entire hour ride into work!

I'm about to pull my hair out!!!

Well first of all get it scanned to find out what DTC'* are set and why the light is on. You're probably going to need a good tune-up at the least, and maybe a MAF sensor, that can cause loss of power and a rough idle. As far as the low boost, someone else will have to chime in on that, not really my department. The front suspension could be a number of things, such as a broken coil spring; sway bar link; ball joint; etc. The delay in kickdown i have a hunch is somehow related to the trouble codes. Just go to Auto Zone and get it scanned and bring us back the codes.

The SES light came on yesterday -paperclip trick in Techinfo. Tell us the codes.

It'* idling like poo - paperclip trick in Techinfo. Tell us the codes.

There'* a clunking in the front suspension somewhere - swaybar endlinks are very likely. Cheap and easy to fix. You'll love the improved ride.

I'm getting like no boost - when I punch it - the guage goes just above '0'. Find a vacuum leak or replace your BCS (20 bucks or so).

There'* a delay in the kickdown when I step on it. - get the other stuff fixed, this might go away.

And the lamp monitor is possessed! It keeps telling me that I have a tail lamp out - which I don't - and it continously flashes and dings. I mean - I had to listen to the ding ding ding the entire hour ride into work! - this is very likely one of your two license plate lights. If not, it'* corrosion in a socket. Clean, and install new bulbs, but I'll bet on the plate lights.

I dropped my car off at my mechanic this morning.....I should know why the SES light came on sometime this morning.

I had it tuned up last year, but Ive also put alot of miles on it since then.

Are you telling me that I was checking the parking lights etc...and it might have been a plate light. Geeeeeesh. Mine magically fixed itself though. (And I'm not one to **** off the gremlin gods by messing with it once it ain't complaining)

My lamp monitor went nuts a few times. Each time a license light burnt out.

I have enough things turning up on their own. Like my latest possible fire hazard light switch situation.

If the car is happy...I'm happy.... I'm not trying to upset baby, it costs money when it isn't happy.

Wound up having a vacuum leak, and bad ball joints. Those are fixed - car is idling much better and no more knocking sounds when turning.....BUT - I need motor mounts and I still have no boost. I'll go get a BCS this weekend, hopefully that'll cure the ailment.
