I am leaving mine off. These winters are to unpredictable. But I also still have the stock t-stat in.

i woudlnt mind meshing mine but i prolly couldnt figure it out....lol...i take mine off on hot days and leave it on on the cold ones so the car can reach normal operating temps sometimes

I actually like the look of my Series 1 L27 better with the cover on. And how much cooler would my engine be if I took it off anyways, since it'* not that big if a cover? I can see how the Series 2 N/A would be much cooler without that huge cover on. I just like the look of the "3800 TPI" in gold.

Maybe I'll just do some gold mesh on the back side of the cover. That would be a good idea since it'* hotter back there anyways. Once I get my dremel for X-Mas I'll be keeping busy

Just make sure you don't paint the mesh where the glue/epoxy holds it to the back side of the cover. Mask it off before you paint. Otherwise the glue is only holding your gold paint. On my SC cover, I painted the cover, then sanded the paint off the underside where I glued it.
