Default Electical Malfunction?

I have a 94 Bonneville SSEi, and yesterday i started it to warm it up. When i got into it i noticed a burning smell like someting was on fire. It didnt smell sweet & it wasnt white smoke. Almost like a rubber or plasic smell. My friend describesit as an electrical burn smell. I immediately turned off my heater & noticed a great deal of smoke coming from the center console. I looked under the hood & didnt notice anything unusual. I proceeded to drive it home. I monitored the temperature gauge. It remained normal. As did the oil pressure guage. At first i suspected an exhaust leak. I turned the heater back on & smoke billowed out from vents. It was producing heat still. Which i hope elimnates a heater core malfunction. Now today it will not start. The engine will not turn over. It sounds like it wants to, but wont. I checked all my fluid levels, fuel pump appears to be operating,i have a spark from the plugs-no loose wires as well. I also checked the fuses which appear to be fine.It was suggested that the pulleys are seizing and that does not appear to be the problem either. I appreciate any input anyone may have or any ideas!
