Post EGR block off

i was wondering if it would hurt anything to block off the EGR and if i would need to do anything else in order to do so??

You would need to shut off the EGR. You will need tuning software to do that.

No, wont hurt anything.

is the tuning software just to make the engine light go off or to make it function correctly

The tuning software can set it to turn on at 284*, so it never turns on.

Is there anything to gain by shutting off the EGR, what about just turning it off with no block off put in?

From all that I've read and done, the EGR helps with fuel mileage and combustion temps. The second one has been debated a lot and I'd like to say..that'* what the FSM says. Cooler cylinder temps and mileage.

Having really nothing to gain by doing a block off, I left mine functional until intercooling. Intercooling cores will get clogged by the carbon and gunk in the exhaust, therefore you disable it.
