Default Driver'* Door Window....

OK...well.....i basicaly have the Drivers door striped...except for the electrical...and thats about it...i had to remove everything else to get the shards of glass out of the door, so now heres my problem...im not sure how to get the new window installed....im pretty sure i read somewhere that it could have been done with the window track and all still on the door...but even now with everything out of the way i dont see how it would work....well...im gona go back out to the garage and keep thinking and trying...and i'll check in a little later so see if anyone has any ideas or tips....

i may be able to get it in from inside the door, but i keep hiting on things...and when i get it in i have to find something or someone to hold it in untill i get the track back in....

I am going to assume that the door panel is off. That being said, it would be most helpful to take out the inner and outer lower window rubber. This will give about another 1/4" of install room to play with, and keeps the window studs from catching on the rubber parts.

Once you get it in there, it'* gonna be a pretty straight-forward install from there.

thanks...but i got it in now....went inside the door and up....worked out fine...had it all bolted back on the track and everything and then i realised that the bar that attatched to the door handle was at the bottom and i had to unbolt it and weed it back around, then realising it had to be on the other side of the lock bar....w/e...all better now though...now im preiceing it back together...hopefully i dont forget how it came appart...which i think i have so in that case i hope i can figure it all back out, and i hope i dont mis pluging something in....

so i got it back together, almost done and im like i should make sure everything works before im compltetly done...everything is fine, untill the window goes halfway up and i hear scratching...and im like ****!....more glass in the window track, it has some shards hiding behind the rubber lip...so getting that out a few peices manage to fall back into the door..so im like i can deal with that.....well I continue, and now im thinking finaly im done...then i shut the door and start to clean up....and i turn around and i forgot the plastic sheet that goes between the door panel and the door

all said and done...i fixed the problem with the passenger door too....i guess it was just something electrical on the drivers door that wasn't fully connected or something but now all the windows work...the passenger front used to only go down when it wanted...im glad i didn't just up and buy another motor or something.....

Excellent news.

Glad to see you got it back together....and tackled the passenger side to boot. I am sure your experience will be a benefit to other members.
