My down pipe has come a little loose at the manifold and the gasket is gone. Is this something that I would be able to fix myself with some basic tools and jack stands or would I be better off going to a shop? I plan on getting a new 3" high flow exhaust put on but not for a few months (need $$$ first), so I am looking for a fix until I can get this done. There is currently a gap at the top of the connection about 1/8 - 1/16 of an inch and it is letting exhaust out and making the car sound considerably louder. I want to get this fixed before winter sets in to help prevent cold air rushing up to the exhaust valves and warping them after I turn the car off.

Get a new exhaust donut & maybe a stud or two with nuts (As the studs may break off). Replace the donut & bolt the pipe bake together!
