Default door questions (pics) help!!!

ok i got the motor off and it works fine it just wont move the window. so i think its stuck or something. well im stuck i dont know what else to do. any ideas?

if take off the silver metal will anything fall of anything?
here are some pics of the silver part im talking about.


those gear wont move at all. if the should or not i have no idea

Put your hands on both sides of the window, and push down. Nothing? Check out the track for misalignment. Or really dry looking parts that look like they should slide.

Check the arm that connects the regulator to the lower frame of the window. Is it bent? Either up and down, or in and out? Hook it back up and try it, watch for what flexes or TRIES to move. Your problem will be FARTHER from the motor than that device.

ok i tryed to push down on the window and nothing moves.

and if i take that silver part off will anything fall? is anything important attached to the big silver piece?

Judging from the pic, and never having been in there, I'm guessing that "big silver piece" is a drip barrier. Helps keep any water that mey make it into the window track area from hitting any electronics. Again, just a guess based on the picture....

Uh, good luck removing the "big silver piece". Most everything is bolted to it. I wouldn't take it out.

well i asked my uncle to look at it and he did and as he was trying he asked my if i tryed to push down the window by hand and i told him i did it couldnt get it to move at all . well he tryed and it moved with no problem well im sitting their shocked and kinda mad cuz i tryed and tryed and i couldnt get it to move and he tryed first time and it moves for him. well i reinstalled the motor and it works fine, i put the door all back together and now its fine. i donna what happen but it works fine now.
