The '99 Olds I did the lowers on had a year old Delpi upper that I reused had a gap similar to that. It sealed up fine. The '99 GP with the new Dorman fit better, but still had a slight gap.

Good deal. How awesome is it that I can just pop a note onto the internet and get a bunch of people to go look at their cars and get RIGHT back to me?? Thanks for the help!
I'll finish putting it together tomorrow. Hopefully I didn't destroy the rest of the engine!

The Dorman I recently installed had a gap similar to that between the UIM/TB. I'd run it.

I actually saw my gap a month ago when I was cleaning the engine, and had been meaning to take a picture and ask on here if it was okay or if it was a problem. I guess your post saved me the effort. My car runs great, so I'm not going to worry about it.
