Mine reads mid 13'* with a 160amp "Mr Alternator" and brand new optima red top.... :?

Even my 29 year old Firebirds read 14.5 volts. :?

Travis and Bob.. stick a meter on the battery with the car running while your gauges are reading 13ish. I did..my mulitmeter said the gauge was reading something different.

i realize this is an old thread but i am trying to figure this out with my park ave right now, im being told by the guys on rivperformance that my wiring is different than theirs, and i dont have a thermistor so i would have better luck seeing what the bonnevilles do.
here is a diagram of my 97'* alternator wires, am i able to do the diode mod?
