Default Digital Compass

Hey my digital compass is acting up. It works fine when the car is running in park, but the "pointers" turn off and "CALIBRATE" appears in the top left corner as soon as I put the car in gear.

Fixes? Thanks guys.

Oh one more thing, I'm looking for a wire to splice into that is hot after the ignition/acc. is on. This is for some switches in the center console. What would be a good choice there?

Depends on what the switches will operate. I always go to the back side of the fuse panel, on a known circuit. Give us more details, we'll steer you.

As for the compass, are you running aftermarket rear deck speakers or a sub?

Put your year and model in your sig. It'll help us alot!

Also you you will have to set your zone. If you're on the east coast it'* zone 3. The manual shows you that. And you can download the manual from here if you dont have it,--- http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...=owners+manual

Ok, first off it'* a 94 SSEi.

All the other switches/functions work in the car. I tried re-setting my zone (I have the manual, thanks) but it still goes to "CALIBRATE" when I put it in gear.

What does Mr. Excited (joe) mean by go in a circle left about 3-5 times? It'* a button, not a ****, am I missing something?

Read and follow the calibration procedure in your owners manual.

You have to drive in a circle 3-5 times at about 10 MPH. But first press and hold the calibrate button while in drive. But yeah, read the manual too.
