My dash lights ,are sometimes dim and other times not ,DIC and compass come in bright other times not ,when I apply the break it will sometimes dim lights and my DIC and compass disappear and reappear could there be a ground behind brake pedal arm up top.

Sound like dirty battery terms or bad battery cables. BUT make sure your alternator is charging at around 14 volts at the battery.

BTW: I ask because my cluster is very dim by the odometer.

If I am talking without knowledge my bad, still learing these villes....

yes you can put PC168s in there to make them sightly brighter
