Dash goes out on start, no power, comes back
This morning Bonne did something new; I sat in the car and put the key in, the dash lights came on for a split second and went out it was completely dead. I opened the hood thinking I had blown a fuse, I got back in the car and it worked normally. I noticed the clock was 1 1/2 hours wrong it had been without power.
Doesn't this seem like a bad connection to the battery?

My wife had a 1990 Subaru Legacy Wagon that did exactly that. I replaced the connectors and it stopped. It might be your issue.

Check your batter cables, both ends of both cables. The positive cables tend to corrode, and when that happens it will let just enough threw to turn on lights, but not turn the starter. When you try it will cut everything off.
