Greg... I've got 185K as well. it'* no doubt I drive "differently" than you.

Shafts go bad when a boot tears.. that could be at anytime.

Heyyyy are you sure they didn't have to replace an axle when the Cheetah tried to break out of the condo complex?

I put 6,000 miles on my car while it was busted up. CV shafts were fine
