Fixed!

I may drify +- 1 or 2, but there'* a little foam gasket that was completely rotted away, I think thats why.

Thanks for the help.

My foam disintegrated too. I think it is just to filter the return (outside) air going back into the vacuum chamber (diaphragm). I did not bother to replace it...

Hmmmm

well maybe I didn't put it back together properly. I'm famous for taking things apart, all the while saying... Oh, I'll remember where that went.

I know I got 2 of the 3 solenoids back together right, but the one with the metal cap on the end I'm not so sure about.

Oh well. It works good enough until maybe I can find a blow up diagram of the assembly.

Thanks!
Matt

Maybe one more question on this, as I've never had a car with a digital speedo and cruise control.

Does your digital readout remain rock steady at all times? Mine pretty much does on flat stretche of highway, but on side roads, especially hilly ones, it will stray +- 3 MPH. I'm thinking this is normal, just looking for the experiences of others.

Thx
Matt

My car has the digital and for going above the setpoint I would have to be going down a pretty steep hill. The -3 going up hill is normal but the car should acclerate back up to the setpoint.

Thanks pop. I looked around a bit, a new servo is only $69..... so I'm going to replace the vacuum lines and if that doesn't make it better, I'll replace the servo. ANyway it works well enough for now, and the cause of the problem was identified, so it'* not like I'm just throwing parts at it.

Thanks again
Matt
