Default Cruise Control on 92 SE

I've been haveing problems with my cruise the last few days, Sometimes it refuses to set and i'll have to turn it off and on a few times to get it to set, Then while it is working it'll slowly start going slower and if i'm going down a hill it'll shut off and not reset and sometimes it'll jsut shut off while going steady. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do i fix it.

Get an SES light when it shuts off? If the TPS voltage is out of range, it'll do that. I adjusted mine to far advanced and it would do that down hill, sometimes on a flat with a tail wind, anytime very little throttle was required to maintain speed.

Oh, the gradual slowing down can show a vacuum leak, or maybe a weakening cruise solenoid that just plain gives up now and then.
