Hello all! Ever since I've owned my are I've had a creaking noise when I turn the wheel. It sounds like a rubber on rubber sound. I've greased my outer ball joints but it hasn't made a difference. The car came from Colorado and was a one owner car. As a result I've noticed it'* a really clean (no rust) car but it seems like anything that would rust has just started. So I'm thinking something in the front end is dry. Is there anything on the steering rack I can lube?

Have you checked the ps fluid level?

I gotta start bringing my FSM with me...

Yeah it was low but I filled it up. That was about 2 weeks ago.

Is the creak all the time? Are you absolutely sure its coming from the outside?

My steering wheel creaks a bit here and there....the car is 10 years old, I live with it

It'* definately outside and I guess it does it most of the time, especially at low speed...(under 15mph)
