Either will do, both are your heater hoses. One goes in and the other is the return. I can not tell which is which. The manual should be able to tell you, if your kit requires it being in a certan one.

I believe #4 is the return.. and it won't matter, because the coolant will all get flushed anyways. It'* just that the heater core will be the last thing in line to get flushed, or the first, which doesn't matter one bit.
