Believe me, I know. I've got the Firebird in my signature that I know more about modding than the GM engineers knew about the whole car! HAHA.

That'* why I am a firm believer of going to those who know more than you. I don't invest the time into my Bonnie like I do the Dirty Bird, so I go where others do invest the time! I've found lots of great stuff here.

My APN upper from ineedparts.com two summers back came with the throttle body gasket... everything.

From what I seen in the pictures, it doesn't seem to come with one.

The intake from APN is the overall best available fix for the EGR issues, but if money is tight the Dorman Upper Intake Kit is a still good fix IMO, I am almost positive the upper intakes are the same, and the only difference in the APN one is the added EGR Steel Bushing, both come with the same stuff, at least they should, my Dorman UIM Kit came with the same reduced diameter EGR stove pipe as the APN Kit, and the TB Gasket came with it as well.
A tip, use the old EGR stove pipe to tap the new reduced diameter one into the LIM.

After 134k my EGR passage into the UIM was not too bad, just an excessive bit of carbon build up, but I expected that, with the reduced diameter EGR stove pipe now in the LIM, I do not expect to ever have it leak on me.

If I ever have to do it again I will go with the APN Kit, but I don't think the upper intake will have any issues for the rest my my cars lifetime.

I replaced my own 1998 upper with a Dorman purchased locally. It came with the throttle body gasket as well as the under gasket.

I purchased the 2003 APN two summers back when I learned I had a small seep through my 100K 2003 3800 engine. I wanted to take a trip in 10 days and didn't want to have to wonder if I made a mistake so I paid a professional to do it with my parts. The APN looked exactly the same as the Dorman to me.
