My console latch was broken when I got the car... and I'm not sure how to remove it for replacement... I tried just pulling it out.. but that doesnt work... is there a side clip or something???

You have to remove the console from the car in order to remove the Trim with the latch. I have some pics kicking around that I can post later. Meanwhile, you can use the search function for keyword "console" and authors randman1 or harofreak00. It was in his thread that I posted them last.
