Default Computer inflicted damage??

OK, everytime I get a new computer for this car it becomes totally different than before the new one is put in. Yes, this is myTHIRD computer, remember the car is white. Anyways, since my last computer reeked havok on the tranny and other things I was wondering if it damaged anything. My car no longer downshifts as fast as it used to before the computer faliur and its developed a missfire in OD at 45 -50 mph. Other than that the new computer has somehow smoothend my idle, and it now starts very fast.

You may be getting computers that are not perfectly matched to your car. Also, when you put a new computer in, it has to learn your car, so your car may act differently for a period of time.

Oh, and the misfire may be a sign of a bad plug, wire, injector, or something like that. That'* when you'll be able to feel it the most, as soon as the torque converter kicks in.

Get 'em out of there. Bosch plugs, wires, and O2 sensors are crap in our cars. Nothing against them, I hold German Engineering in the highest regard.....I just don't think they're engineered for the heat our engines operate at.
