Yes, they should interchange, since a 91 3800 will take a 92 and up coil coilpack, and plug in the same.

I wouldn't use one. I believe some may be the old magnavox ignition, not a delco. Its not a great ignition system. Try one from a 92 and up.
I know I am looking for one myself.
This is somewhat incorrect. ALL 87-91 coils are one-piece Magnavox and won't interchange without also swapping ICM'*. And they're weaker coils, which may make the problem worse. Half the 92'* also used the Magnavox.

I just found that out... Mortehl just switched from coils from his L27 to Series II coils for just that reason. Cheap mod....

ok here'* the deal. I swapped out pull wires on the weak cylinder and even changed coil packs. The problem is still there. Could weak cylinder on the code scanner mean weak fuel injector instead? The car runs great when I dump a can of B-12 chemtool in the tank but when I just run normal 91octane fuel it runs like crap. I'm out of suggestions and don't know where to go from here. Currently the car is throwing no codes it just doesn't rev up or have any power. Acts like a carbureted vehicle that needs a good adjustment. Help me if you can.

Ok tommorrow i'm gonna go test my fuel injector to see if it'* firing right. Anything else I should be ruling out before I assume it'* the fuel injector.

Did you run compression and leakdown check to make sure it'* not mechanical? Also if you're checking injectors with noid lights, that'* telling you they get signal, but not if they spray right. Good luck.
