Default P0300 code cleared, but car stalls?

Hello, I’m new to the forum as far as posting but have been reading the site for a few months now; I own a 94SE, 88k. I recently encountered the dreaded P0300 misfire code and traced it back to faulty, crappy, champion spark plugs. So after fixing the problem, replacing the ignition coils along with the plugs and wires, I’m driving the car.... all is well then all of a sudden, I hear 3 chimes or dings and she stalls..... Just comes to a dead end stop. Now here is the dumb question part of my question.. I had the code scanner plugged in while I was driving, doing a field test. The code scanner requires 12V, the car battery is only putting about 11.9V out... could the scanner being plugged in have been the cause of the stall? I unplugged the scanner and the car started in maybe 5 minutes, any ideas if the scanner was the problem along with weak battery?

Thanks for any help given.

did you have any codes from when it stalled? I highly doubt the scanner would cause the car to die, it has very little draw on the electrical system.

i used to have the same stalling problem, untill i replaced the cam and crank senors. after that i never had a problem, except i still get the 3 chimes at random times. Also check the wire harness under the alternator, when i was replacing the cam sensor i found that a bunch of wires had the insulation and wire loom completely melted away and had the bare wire exposed.
