Default Clunking sound

Whenever I turn the 97' off it clunks for a half second or so. Its like old carburated cars that would kind of chug for a few seconds after being turned off. Also, whenever I turn the wheel while stopped it will really make a lot of clatter because the rpms drop a little. I think if the rpms would drop to 500 it would be very loud. Jason has whitnessed it and got a confused look on his face when he heard it.

Not sure about the dieseling, but the drop in rpms when you turn sharp is probably from the power steering pump. Check your fluid level and maybe spin the pulley with the belt off of it to check for a bad bearing?

FPR going bad? might want to hook a guage up to it and see what it does for the first 2-3 seconds after turning it off.

Oh you didn't mention the turning while parked thing...

Most likely points out to the Power Steering Pump as suggested. If it'* messed up, then when the car is shut off, and it locks up or is loose, it could cause some bad movement like we witnessed.

Yeah i had a bad look for a reason.. :?
