Default clear trouble codes

I can't find the proceedure to clear trouble codes for my 92 Bonneville SE in my GM Manual. Its not on the page stated in the index?

If you have a history code stored in the ECM, it can be cleared by disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes. If the Check Engine light is still on after that then you need to fix the problem that the computer is complaining about before clearing the history.

The only other way to clear the codes is with a scantool.
