I just went through this with my 97 bonne. According to technical service bulletin #67-65-32 the p0121 code could from an overly sensitive computer if the build date of the car was prior to 9-15-96. If the computer has never been re-flashed, have it done at a good parts store, garage, or the dealer. It cured mine.
