Default Check Engine Light

Does anyone know how to manually cut off the check engine light, I need it off so I can pass this emissions test b/c its the only thing holding me back from passing. Its on b/c of the transmission and I know that has nothing to do with my emissions.
Thanks for your help in advance

I already did and the problem is my trans (which apparently needs to be rebuilt) but i know it doesnt have anything to do with my emissions. Can they clear the light with that machine they use to see why the light is on?
