The check engine light comes on when i am driving on the experessway. Then goes out when i hit the gas any ideas

It happens when you idle? Does it only do it on the freeway?

no codes found and only on the highway sounds like a idlle problem 2 me

right. but the problem would be you're not at idle on the freeway. so that'* out. once you get on the gas, it goes away? do you get any strange feelings from it? does it hang up when you hit the gas? does the torque convertor unlock?

does the torque convertor lock up to begin with?

This has done this to me and is doing it once again. I got the wires changed and that was the only problem, but now it'* doing it again and I'm not sure why. I work at the GM dealership here so I'll have it checked out once I get a chance and tell you what I discover.

my intake fell off my car so the mass air flow sensor was throwing codes left and right

I had the same thing happen to me in my old 88 lesabre. it ended up being a bad knock sensor.

If the Check Engine light came on ther has to be a code.
