Default Changed front brakes and I am hearing a noise while turning

I changed the front brakes (discs and rotors) and I now hear a noise when I turn. The noise is kind of like a grinding, but not at that high of a frequency. This is really my first time changing the discs and rotors. The noise only comes from the left wheel when I turn (doesn't matter which way I turn). I did not put as much of that lubricant on the left pads as I did on the right pads. Could this be the problem? Is something in the brakes rubbing while I turn? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Check the backing plate (the metal plate that sits behind the rotor) on that side, and see if it may be rubbing against the rotor. It can be relatively easy to accidentally bend that while working on the rotors.
