Mikey... 50% of the forum drives hard and warps rotors in record time, 25% drives hard and doesn't warp them and the other 25% are good drivers.

Odd thing is I've got wearever rotors...EL Cheapos..and ceramic pads...they stop great and no warpage... ask anyone..I'm not easy on them at all.

I've never used ceramic pads, and as said above am considering replacing my pads with ceramics when the time comes. So, I ask lots of questions. I'm crazy like that.

Ceramics are an INCREDIBLE technology. They were on my car when I bought it from Marty with apx. 212K on it, I have 252K on it now and the front pads still have 30-40% remaining. Very little dust, superior stopping power...they're DEFIENTLY worth the extra money.

Oh, and on the El Cheapo rotors? In my experience (on my own cars and customers cars as well), the cheap rotors are actually BETTER than the "premium" rotors. They don't warp anywhere near as quickly and seem to last just as long, if not longer.

I put napa ceramics and napa 20.00 rotors on 2/yr/ 10k mi ago. Brake dust was very much improved. I do think that they feel differnent. I little more foot needed to get them to grab. I think they work better when they get hot. Rotors warped by 10k and just cut em 10.00 ea figuring that they are now heat treated and might not warp as quick as new ones which are now 15.00 . They measured out fine and had very little wear but only 10k. I don't drive them hard either. I'm driving my kids to this , that , and whats next. I recommend them if you have hard to clean wheels. I've got goldies and they are a pain to clean.
