Default center console for 60/40 split bench setup

Hey,

I have a 60/40 front seat and i was wondering if anyone had found an aftermarket center console that would fit well under the dash, i never need the extra seatbut i could really use the storage space of a center console. (also if anyone has built their own a set of plans would be awesome--)

any ideas?

I've been wrestling with the same idea for my 2002. Holler if you find something.

I went by my local auto parts mile (murrays, auto zone and pep boys in a square block) and checked out what they had. I bought a console designed to fit in the middle seat and be attached by the seatbelt. This was a GREAT design... would have been perfect, but it was WAY too big for the bonny... so im on a hunt to find something smaller.

The unit was about 60 bux and had two cup holders and a padded hinged compartment that felt extremely sturdy....

anyways... bump for this... maybe someone else has any ideas

I am definitely interested in this as well. I have a set of leather seats front and back that i got from the junk yard for about 20 bucks. I have put them in because I can't figure out how to wire the power and don't know what to do with that empty space. I was thinking about using the console from my wreaked 92se to model up a fiberglass fabrication, or one of those hot/cold cooler console thingys. Problem with the first idea is I have no idea of how to fiberglass anything and the second seem like they just wont fit.

All of the aftermarket consoles of any significant functions seem to be too big to fit a bonneville... let me know if you find anything
