This stupid arse P0171 code is killing me. First of I drove my car from work to the store and the light went off went back to work and parked it. After lunch I got in and started it back up and the ligth was off, moved the care closer to the exit door and when I was backing up it came on.. Being this little sequence I went through would this elimate the possibility of a vacum leak because Im tired of buying carb cleaner?

I checked the voltage of the battery and it read 13.85 when off and during idle. When I checked it at night while the lights were on it read 14.5 at idle. does that seem right? Im hoping its between the 02 sensor ,because I dont know what kind is in there, and the battery cables for the one thats on there now the alt wire going to the battery for some reason has electrical tape wrapped around it the entire lenght. :?
