Default Stalled again and now radio stays on and rear defrost stuck.

My friend and I went to get some stuff from storage today and it did not go well. First we went to the gas station and put $10 in the bonne cause it was on E. Then we headed up the highway about 20mins and when we got off everything was fine. We got to a light and I felt a bump and thought my friend ( ahead of me ) had just coasted into me or something. The light turned green and I went to go and.... Nothing. I put it in park and hit the Hazards and tried to start it. The car will start and Idle but rough and if you give it gas it'll die. My friend came back and pushed me to the nearest gas station and the car is now sitting there. The car will run on ether so I think it is a fuel problem. Now the reason I think htis is an electrical problem is.... I shut it off and got out and the radio, clock, and rear defrost were still on ( I didn't even hit defrost button ). We ended up disconnecting the battery and going to storage to get some stuff. On our way back we stopped at the gas station and hooked the battery back up and looked in and rear defrost was on again! I got in and tried to start it and as soon as I did the radio and clock were stuck on again and the car did not start. We unhooked the battery again and left for the night. We knew it had a fuel pump problem but now this has occured and we think it might be electrical instead of fuel pump. Any ideas on things I can do?

That is very odd. Do you ever get any water inside the car when it rains? We've seen grounds by both front doors cause quite an array of odd problems.

The fuel pump grounds in the back where the wires go throught the floor at the front of the trunk. It'* just a single clip there. Try cleaning that.

RAP stays on too... Should stay on for ten minutes or until a door is opened.

We went up there today and tried to get the bonne running so I could bring it home but no go. We did have it running for a few minutes then it died before we even started moving. We tested the fuel pressure by pressing the button on the fuel rail and it just drizzles out and the motor will run on ether so it'* a fuel problem. I looked under the car and unhooked and hooked back up both plugs beside the fuel tank and still didn't start. I did find out I have the CRC pump though so I know what to look for. Any idea where that ground wire is though for the pump?

Inside the trunk.

We looked inside the trunk and found a ground on the left side and we disconnected it and the car fired up but then died about a minute or two later. We scrapped off the paint where the ground was and then tightened the ground down and the car still didn't fire. Is that the ground for the pump? I guess if it is then there is nothing wrong with it so must be a bad fuel pump :(

The fuel pump ground is at the driver'* side ground bus. Check out the following Techinfo article. The correct bus should have black & black with white stripe wires going to it.

Went back up there today and cleaned that ground "pack" and the car fired right up but died a few miles down the highway when we got to the first stop light. He said he wiggled the ground pack and it fired back up . When we got it home I took the ground pack apart again and cleaned it so well that it'* now a piece of shiny copper and I took the car for a drive around town for about 10mins and the car didn't die at all. I think the problem is solved and I thank you all for your help. If it does die again I guess the only other thing would be to replace the fuel pump itself.
