Car will not stay running
i have a 1993 bonneville se and i am having trouble keeping my car running. at first it seemed to only be a battery problem because the voltage gauge was at eight and would not go any higher but i got a new batter and that did not help . so then i thought maybe it could be the alternator and i just intsalled that yesterday. i tried charging the battery with an actual battery charger since the car had been sitting and that did not work. so i jumped it and had it running but as soon as i took the cables off the car would stop. when the gas was pressed the voltage gauge would still not move. any suggestions? thanks for your help
Pull the cables off the connections and remove the boots. Clean any and all corrosion. If it'* too brutal for words, order new cables.
It'* pretty common with B'villes
If that doesn't do the trick..holler back and we'll look for other items.
