I turn the key and it will start then die, if I give it gas it will stay running, but if I let off the rpms drop and sh dies!

No codes but it does ding check oil, and I do, its fine, full crank

went to go do it again and it stalled several times, so i gased it and kept it running now it seems to stay running, is this throtle position sensor?

I would attribute it more likely to be a gummed up IAC passage in your TB rather than a TPS. TPS doesn't really come into play at idle with the butterfly closed.

Or some bad gas. The dinging was technically happening when the car stalled. I've had er "experience" with that one.

what do you mean gummed up IAC? Also it has had the smae gas for a week, I am only on a half tank, would problems really happen now? It has a new fyuel filter too FYI.

Find the Techinfo article on Throttle Body (TB) and MAF (mass airflow sensor) cleaning. It details removing the IAC (idle air controller) and the passage for it in the TB.

Didn't get a chance to work on this last night, installing my new rearview mirror took longer than exspected. I seen the article in tech info. Anyone have a part number for the throtle body gasket I will need? Also what kind of results do you see after performing the cleaning? Aside from not stalling.
