Car dies for no apparent reason?
Describe better how it just dies, please...
I had a LeSabre that would "just die". Turned ot to be the bolt that held the 2 pieces of the Maxi fuse center together in the center. It had loosened and corroded, causing a total loss of electric to the car....

Checked spark at plugs , does crank,no spark after it dies . replaced cam sensor. ran fine then died again. this time code 17, 18, 56,58. .noticed gauges r bounceing alittle when it dies . wondering if computer is bad . has anyone had this problem. it is getting fuel. i know code 18 is crankshft sensor . r these hard to replace . thanks for any help
Crank Position Sensor...I had this same problem and tried everything to fix it with no give....until I broke down and changed this sensor...no problems to this day....that was 6-7 months ago.....
I would be just driving cruising whatever and it would just go dead....it would start back up but after a while I got tired of it..the part is only about 20 bux at autozone and the labor wasn't too bad...but you will need a puller to pull off the bottom pully....the sensor is behind it.
