Hi Patti

My Dad'* 95 Lesabre was doing the same thing. It ended up being the crank sensor and computer. Both were changed and it runs fine now.

In 94 GM removed the "FLASH" feature to read codes!

AAAHHHH! I can't keep up with all this ****! Ok, at least 94 was still fully OBD1 compliant, but it requires a scantool......ok. Did DeLorean have a hand in this?

My vote goes for the crank sensor........I know of several people who have had the intermittent stall problem and all of those ending up being the crank sensor........

My old car (89) did something similar. Except it wouldn't start again for several minutes afterwards, if at all. It turned out to be bad wiring, and filthy battery terminals. Not much later, the computer died.

Does the check engine soon light come on before or after you stall?? alot of people think it flashes before, but the car has really stalled by that time.

As far as the check engine light ...good point. I have my radio on most of the time, but like i said in another post, I really dont realize that Im stalling untill i lose my power steering, then when i automatically look down at my dash I see the light on ....so yah, maybe I stalled already...I'll have to pay closer attention to it tomorrow..(ofcourse I'll have to use my car, like every day) but Ive heard more than once about the crank sensor, so that'll be one of the first things he checks this weekend....after he goes over all these posts....you guys are really a big help , thanx
