Yes, the car seems to start and run fine now ... so far so good, anyway. With all the trouble she has given us in the past, I am hesitant to speak to soon, though . And yes, will check with hubby on clearance of the fingers, but pretty sure this was done. Like I say, he did this once already last fall ... and he did read through several posts here on doing the installation. So, I guess we'll just cross our fingers and hope for the best! Thanks again guys!

Oh, to answer your earlier question...

Yes, it is somewhat common for the magnet to be knocked loose off the sensor. I'm guessing you knew that by now, but noticed that noone really answered it directly.

Captain Obvious to the rescue!!!

Wanted to check back in to let you know we ran Bonnie around town today, and she continues to behave nicely (knock on wood!). That is weird about the brands at Advance ... hmmm, will have to look for that ... I am sure we'll be there again soon enough! Anyway, a big "thank you" again, from both hubby and me, for all of your support ... it is very much appreciated!

You're lucky homer...

The bonneville club didn't exist when my crank sensor failed, and i started by replacing the expensive ICM first too!
