Default Brakes..

I plan on having my brakes done on Wednesday and I wanted to go with slotted rotors and ceramic pads. The problem is tho. I dont know what is a good brand for them so am asking for some suggestions.

Also would I be able to get them at the auto parts store? and also Summit racing store is only like 1hr away if that so if they have them I could make a drive out there.

So what are good slotted rotors and ceramic pads :P ..

Thanks in advance

Nick

i would make a guess in that ur local autoparts store will not stock them. they may be able to order them. at murrays near me, its just overnight for most of their special orders. even on the weekends.

I'll agree. Nobody will stock slotted.

Start searching for Powerslot rotors. And don't waste your money on them unless you're willing to go with ceramic pads also. Follow break-in procedures. If none are given to you with the rotors or install, post here for advice.

I agree with Will and the others... our Bonnes are just don't have a big enough performance demographic to get stocked locally.

I got my cryo Power Slots and Akibono ceramics from The Tire Rack. The price was fair, from my comparisons, and they had them to my house in two days. I bedded them for 400-500 miles and have been real happy with them. The Tire Rack also has a large selection of pads and rotors with pretty good descriptions, in case you are looking for something different from me. I wanted maximum braking with least wheel filth.

I wouldn't recommend the cryos, I only upgraded as I have warped every rotor in sight, and because the normal slotted rotors where on backorder at the time.

IIRC, the slotted where about $78 or $84 each and the cryos where $109 each. Aki'* were about $70 or 80.

Search around. There'* more than one vendor that advertises free shipping.
