found a ride to the parts store, got the parts i needed.
And whoever invented drum brakes sucks, because they are B*tch to work on!
But its all fixed up now, and the brakes work

Did you adjust it?
Turn the adjuster
install drum and spin it
Repeat until you hear the brakes just begin to drag on the drum.

Adjust the other side too.

these drums are actually the easiest of all time to work on. try the one with 10 different springs, with a certain order, retainer pins hold down springs, etc. now those are REAL fun
