The struts are great.
There has been very little body roll so far, but I want to put a few miles on the struts before I truly test them out. The struts definitely take the big bumps harder than any OEMs would, but they are just as smooth on normal surfaces.

The backing plate is just the plate that sits behind the rotor. If that is hitting the rotor just bend it back into place I guess. If that isn't the problem, try bleeding the brakes. Check out this thread for how to do it.
