Default blower motor issue

I HAVE A 97 SSE WITH A BLOWER MOTOR PROBLEM,SOMETIMES THE BLOWER WILL WORK AND SOMETIMES IT DONT.I KNOW THE MOTOR IS GOOD.WHEN THE BLOWER DOES NOT WORK IF I HONK THE HORN IT WILL TURN ON FOR ABOUT TEN SECONDS AND STOP AGAIN,HONK THE HORN AND TURN ON FOR TEN SECONDS AND OFF AGAIN....IS THIS THE SWITCH OR THE WHOLE CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT,OR SOMETHING ELSE??ANY IDEAS..

As to the question, it sounds like your blower motor is dying. Not a bad or overly expensive fix (I just did mine). The easiest way to test the motor is to turn the fan on (AC or just vent) and if it'* not blowing, go under the hood and whack it with a srewdiver handle or something similar. If that turns it on, then you probably just need a new motor. They usually stock them at the local parts stores, I think I paid $35 for mine, and it comes with the fan attached.

THE BLOWER WORKS FINE IV'E HAD IT WIRED DIRECT,I NEED TO KNOW IF ITS A RELAY OR THE WHOLE CONTROL SYSTEM

There is a Blower Control Module under the Maxifuse Relay Center, the connector for the blower should lead you right to it... There is a possibility that it may be bad...
The Maxifuse Relay Center has a couple of bolts holding it and it can be lifted up. The blower control module has most of its circuit board down in the air stream like the resistors used to. It is available from Advance and from dealers.
