Default Bizzare antenna/abs/traction

so today i installed my sirius radio in my 1995 ssei and the fm transmiter in the radio has always been weak.. so i decided to unplug the antenna so it would no longer go up when the radio is turned on making the outside radiostations weaker and giving my sirius good reception.. anyway i unpluged the 3 wire connector at the antenna and started the car.. i noted the abs and traction off lights remained on... i knew that this was a direct result of unplugging the antenna.. so i plugged it back in and they didnt go out.. i then disconnected the neg battery cable and let it sit to reset the computer... after that it was fine no more idiot lights.. i just found it bizzare that the antenna and abs/traction share a common wire somewhere... and thought id share

I can understand a common ground (body) but a common hot wire sounds odd to me.
