my mind isn't at 100% right now (it'* been a very long week), but if you had a bad solenoid, I could almost guarantee you that you wouldn't be getting more than about two gears. scan tool is wrong. i'll check out my book on the 4t65 and verify, and correct myself here if wrong...

I dont have any other codes, just those, not even history codes. ive tried clearing it and it comes back as soon as i put it in reverse, but when im scaning it it says that its only bad in reverse, it checks out ok as soon as i put it in drive

I took it for a run today and here is what i got. Sorry i forgot to glance at the boost solenoid duty cycle, but i might get that later. this was around 45 mph and a little higher

2 and 3rd gear switches worked, i didnt test the 4th one because the back road i was using is a little to crapy and my exhaust needs a little work.

EGR solenoids 2 and 3 worked under moderate throttle condistions but stayed off at idle and wot. THe first one didnt do anything at all.

TCC duty stayed at 0 no matter what i did and wouldnt apply at all.

What does this tell us?

Hello,

Have you found an answer to your problem? My 92 SSEi does the exact same thing. It throws a code, Quad B failure, when I put it in reverse. I have spent over $300 at the dealer and they can't find the problem.

Thanks,

Scott
