We'll also need more information ...

Can you pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

Alrighty...

Please go into your signature under profile and add in the 94 SE

Need to pinpoint a little more here..

Does it appear to be coming from the passenger side of the motor, and is it on top or down under the motor?

See...if it'* the top of the motor itself..then lifter is possible
Bottom of motor is probably a bad bearing and will lead to low oil pressure and a bad motor
Belt end..or passenger side ..could be a pulley, harnomic balancer or other minor things.

well i bought it in August of 02' and it'* always done it,and basically the only thing I've had to replace on it was the passenger side front tire rod end,and here recently the water pump, and i believe it'* coming from the passenger side, and as far as the oil pressure goes,it'* fine,no problems there,so I hope it'* a pully or balancer

If the car has been doing it that long. Most likely it'* a simple noisy lifter.

I think you are ok not worrying about it since it'* been happening for 4 years?

Somtimes if you got a noisey lifter you can run some engine flush threw it
and it will help,,but i hate using "mechanic in a can" to fix problems...
