Default Bad fuel pump?

When I am low on gas, if I turn hard right, my car begins to studder like it'* going to kill on me. I'm not really sure how big my tank is supposed to be, but it starts to do that when I'm about 12gal down. Also the gas gauge fluctuates alot.
Any ideas? Thanks.

my 90 lesabre likes to do that also...Thats why i always kept a full tank..never had an issue otherwise...if the car runs fine id have to say some of the baffling in the gas tank is broken and allowing your fuel to move all the way to the left of the tank away from the pump...just a guess......

I have the same exact issue as well. This generation is known for baffles breaking loose inside the gas tank. Mine starts at about 3/8ths of a tank.

Yea, I always figured a baffle prob. My book says it'* an 18 gallon tank, but I've never put more than 15 in it. I usually fill up at 240 which is about 12 gallons. The car I had before was a 99 lumina that the fuel gauge would stop going down at about 2/5 of the tank, so I'm used to watching the odo.
