You should also check the double battery cable connected to the positive post on the battery and the negative cables for corrosion even down into the plastic cover. But my bets n the ground connection also.

hey, np. I'm not here to cause problems. At any rate....under my carpet has water everywhere. There was one connection in particular (letter A or closest to edge) that has shorted out and had burns. I tried to start without wire and same problem, also still no PW or PL. Then put new connector on wire, hooked it up and shazam.... seems to be fixed. HOWEVER, after about third time starting, it won't start again and sounds horrid when turning over.....almost like clicking but not like starter.....it'* like whole engine is clicking funny. This was with wire connected or not. I'm giving up tonight as I haven't even started my homework but will commense after class tomorrow and keep everyone posted. Again, I can't thank you all enough for help and will be active member of this site now to hopefully help another as much as you have helped me. Also, if anyone knows about this crazy new starting issue please advise before I destroy my car. Mike especially thanks, you knew the problem. I just hope I didn't make a new one.

You might have run your battery down some while doing your testing. Get your homework done, and come back tommorow, we can work on it again. No need to stress yourself over this
Also, with the water, you are not the only one with water problems. I do believe somewhere in the tech forum you will find info on repairing or finding the place it comes in at.
Forgot to say welcome to BC. You will find alot of information on this forum and you will also make alot of new friends here too.
Sorry for the little incident earlier. We had a problem with a previous member that lives in your area with the almost same name.

not yet, just got home from class and need to go buy small connectors to replace the one that shorted out and the one I broke trying to get the melted one out. The car won't start without those anyway and they are cheap so when I get back from doing that, I'll try to start it and see what happens.
