Both broke the nylon cord inside it.

If you want to go brand new Metra, sells new power antennas.
Metra as in Metra Kits & wire harness for aftermarket radios.
I don't know how good the quality or waranty is for there antennas, but there kits & harness for installing aftermarket radios are favorite among electronic installers.

You can't buy directly but they have a link for finding a representative (stereo shop etc.)
I'm thinking of getting one myself, I already replaced the original with one from the scraper and its not much better.
When I last checked the price direct from authorized distributor I think cost was $80 Canadian.

well, the local JY has a couple Bonnevilles but he said the antennas were either gone or bad, and so I asked what all he had left of any of the Bonnies and he said well really there is one with anything on it and he was planing to fix her up....

therefore im looking for a power antenna, im gona do some more searching around before i post in our Wanted Section

Mine just went bad today. It worked the 1st time I went out, but the 2nd time it didnt. I looked at the fuses but there wasnt anything about the power antenna. Also my power trunk release doesnt work either. I just used that today before I went out. But my keyless remote trunk release works. I hope I'm not stealing your thread 93SSE. Just figured I wouldnt start a new one.

Check the valet lock (it'* a rocker switch to the left of the trunk latch) before going any further. It'* easy to move the switch putting in groceries or whatever.and setting it causes just the problems you're describing.

Well good news and bad news. The valet lock was on so I turned it off the the truck lock release on the door works now , but the antenna doesnt. :(

Two words: fixed antenna.

Well I got my antenna fixed for the time being...hopefully for good. I got in there and wiggled the bottom part of the antenna motor and it started working.
