Default Antenna....died**NOW WITH PICS!!!**

So yesterday i went out with some firend all friggen day, and we stop at sonic for dinner, and then we all parted, so i turn the radio on as im pulling out and every friggen station is fuzzy, so im just thinking maybe im in one of those holes....that i hadn't noticed before.....and then it was just fuzzy, so i turned it off, and i get home and as im backing up to the garage door i see the outline of the antenna not quite halfway up.....and im like ****! I got out and played with it a little, i didn't force it to go all the way up or down, but yeah, turned the radio on and off and i dont hear the antenna motor doing anything but i feel a vibration....i'll have to look into it more but w/e....

this is our 2nd antenna, the first one the motor died, then it was bent and thats when we got another....which was probaly like 2 years ago...

Get Sirius satellite radio. You'll have NO use for your antenna after that, trust me.

ok well, i unpluged it and removed it from the car...and taped up the hole cuz it is calling for rain and has been sprinkling off and on today.....the motor works but it doesn't go up or down....so we are thinking whatever directly connects to the antenna or motor has come undone and dad and I intend to get into and find out...if it doesn't work out then i'll have to find another....

dad thinks he still has the first antenna, of whcich the motor was dead, so we might beable to combine the two, but dad cant find it so we're thinking he probaly threw it out...

originaly i was just going to unplug it so it wouldn't burn up the motor, but then we decided to just take it out...

i had to remove the jack in order to get it out without bending the antenna, we couldn't push it down, and didn't want to force it and potentialy break it more

i could have left the little nub on there but i figured maybe i'll break out my 16U paint when i put an antenna back in

all taped up...i thought about painting the tape white...

its not that noticable is it :?

and let me tell you, without an antenna, TREES SUCK

throw the antenna away and buy the manual one at the stealership. $28 retail, better reception, and no more worries.
